My Sunshine....

This little brown eyed boy will have my heart forever!
When my daughter was born I would sing "my baby love" by the Supremes to her and to this day she loves it.  My son was given the song "you are my sunshine" (You tube of original song, sung in 1939)  Enzo just smiles and stares at me with those big brown eyes of his while I sing him this song!
He is FOUR now and I just can't imagine life without him or how he got so big so fast!
You will hear many photographers say that taking pictures of your own kids is the most difficult thing to do.  The same is true for photographers kids too.  I did two different sessions to capture Enzo's personality in a natural setting and a more '4 year old boy' setting!  The results are perfect!
He is our spunky, silly, smart, clever, little boy and I hope that never changes.

10 years and counting....

TEN years of photo sessions with this family!
I can't believe it's been that long?!
Always easy, Always fun, Always memories to be made!
We decided upon Elm Creek because it's usually loaded with fall colors and close to home for the both of us.  It didn't disappoint with bright red vines and beautiful orange and yellow trees.  Riley their dog came along just for some exercise and a spontaneous pet shoot arose at the end.
These two couldn't be more cute if they tried....OK well I have a feeling they will try again next year.

Golf Course First.....

The art of photography is ever changing and keeping up is expensive and time consuming.  I've been shooting professionally for over 10 years now and I'm always learning.  Learning new angles, new settings, new lenses, new ways to edit, etc.
This session was a first for me....shooting a family session on a golf course.  I've shot a senior on a golf course but we stayed close to the club house.  This was 3 kids and 2 adults driving around in a couple of golf carts and finding the best angels and staying out of peoples way as they T'd up!  LOL

The other thing I learned was to NOT wear a sequence top during a session.  Reflections all over the place!  WHY didn't I think of this before hand?!  The family probably didn't notice ....until now, when they read this blog.....but I made it work and will never again wear sequence to a session!

It turned out to be a quirky, spunky, sun flare filled, awesome shadows kinda session!
