A Bunch of Goof Balls....

Well the title says it all I think!?!  This family was full of goofiness and silliness the day of their session. They came ready to smile and have fun with cute accessories! Just down the street from my house I once again took this session and gatta say it's quick and easy and has many options for great family or individual shots.  Way to go Cottingham clan for making me look good once again! I can't believe I've captured these amazing smiles since they were in diapers?!  When people say surround yourself with those that build you up ....this family is one that comes to mind!

A Hunting we will go....

I've captured this family MANY times and each time I'm in awe of how photogenic they all are!  This family came out to my mini-sessions that I held a few weeks ago....you know when the weather was ABOVE freezing!?!  Anyway their oldest boy was so animated and wanted to check the woods for deer....so I appeased him and we all went looking for deer!  Needless to say we didn't find any but we sure did get some GREAT images of them walking through the tall grasses and wishing everyone a Merry Christmas!  This amazing Mom lost her father recently so these images couldn't have come at a better time for her and her family to treasure!  Hugs to you and your family once again Tracy!  Keep those boys growing and smiling!!

Cold Little Keepers....

Ice Kids blog 15

OMG....these three Little's have the most amazing eyes!  And such different personalities from each other!  I met their mom back in college and I'm SO happy that we are still friends today and get to see each other from time to time!  I've actually never had the chance to capture her 3 little wonders until now and boy was it fun!  It was also cold but we bundled up in blankets and ran back and forth from the van to keep warm....especially for the littlest one.

3 Little Woods Men...

These sessions just keep getting better and better!  Next up is this amazing family that has 3 very much so BOYS!  What a perfect location to capture them tromping around.  I'm sure you have all seen this tree farm being used by other photographers.  It truly is an amazing place to capture your own family if you feel inspired.  They have a great atmosphere for chopping down your own Christmas Tree too.  I highly recommend it!

New Places Old Faces....

It's been awhile since I've seen this beautiful family and I was excited to see how the kids have grown!  This farm is owned by a family friend and what a perfect location for a September Evening!

I love how they interacted with each other and how they were just naturals around the camera!  We had fun exploring, chasing chickens, jumping on trampolines and even laughing as Mom chased the farm dogs away!!  LOL  I hope to return to this location soon...it was a dream!

My story boards seem to be helping everyone IMMENSELY with outfits and digging into my head on what I'm envisioning for each session.  I will continue to do this for each session but don't think I need to share on the blogs!  (you get the gist now)

Beach Day....

Well what do I say about this session expect that we knew it would be a BEACH session right from the start.  This family is always at the beach or on the water doing water sports of all sorts every chance they get! I had a lot of plans and schemes for this session but decided that tailoring it down to fit their personality was best!  Sometimes simplicity is best and speaks more then overloading with props and sets.  We chose Lake Harriet for the obvious setting of beach and water!  It was a perfect night weather wise but the Band Stand was full of people....luckily the beach was somewhat clear of background crowds!  And because this family is like 'family' to me I was able to have my daughter tag along and be my wonderful assistant for the night!  At times it worked out great cuz she was able to hold the dogs leash when he wasn't in the pictures...but at other times my professional self would have liked to leave her home so I wasn't worry about her sitting in the shadows or being bored!  Oh the life of a mother....it's hard to turn it off even when working!

As before I like sharing my story boards with you so you get a sense of where the session is going and then the results of the session it self!

ENJOY
