What an honor to be in the room when a miracle happens!  How amazing it was to be asked and to witness something so incredible!! 

Let's be honest for a moment and go over a few details.  This is my friend first and foremost....I wanted to capture this day for her BUT I wanted her to be comfortable with me in the room as this 'exposing' process happens.  I encourage anyone thinking about having birth photography to pick someone that you love and trust.  It makes for the inherent awkwardness to be a little bit more subsided.  Leaving the room when asked is always a given and being able to drop the camera to hold a friends hand and whip her hair from her face is a must!!  That being said all discreetness and modesty goes away after you have sat with your friend through the most painful time in her life for hours on end.  What I felt my role was that night....distraction stories, hand holding, wet wash cloths, handing her whatever she needs, smoothing out her hair, finding socks for her cold feet, calling a nurse when needed.....all while capturing the night one snap shot at a time.  Ali ....I'm pretty sure we are bonded for life after this experience!!!  Ali is not only a good friend and great mother but she is also a fellow photographer.  Her work is amazing...  http://www.alihohn.com/

2014 Product and Pricing....

Well, we are HOPEFULLY in the home stretch of Winter!?  Since this season seems to be staying around for a bit longer,  I thought I would share what I'm offering my clients for 2014.


First my pricing is one solid fee....no guessing games here!  You get what you see!  My business is set up much different then most as I am first a Mother and Wife then second a Photographer and Business Owner. Time is also not taken away from my family (and yours) putting together print orders....don't get me wrong...prints/canvases are beautiful and I recommend getting them done. What works for my family is to offer One or Two sessions a month at a set rate.  I LOVE this set up and it gives me ample time to get to know you and work harder to make your images the best they can be!  My pricing is set up to cover overhead costs and my time. As well as the beautiful product sent out.  My goal is to each year book out my calendar so I can provide a second income for my family and also provide stunning images for your family! I truly enjoy the work I put into each session and can't wait to capture each session that I'm blessed with!

My packages are all mailed out FedEx to ensure a safe and timely arrival.  I love how simple it is and they may alter from time to time as I get a creative bug up my sleeve.  For now the Cream Box is filled with your 5x7 Brag Album, a beautiful Wooden USB, Print Recommendation Card, Print Release Card, and of course my Business Card! 


Your session is more then just this box of goodies....it's the experience from the first email, to the concept/inspiration board, down to location and outfits, and then to your finished images!  I can't wait to hear from each client and see them as their little families grow!  Thank you all for trusting me with your family memories!

Lifestyle Bliss....

Lifestyle Photo Sessions are becoming more and more popular.  I can totally understand why too!  They are so laid back...easy going...flexible...personal...and scream YOU!  This family is no novice to Lifestyle Photo Sessions.  Their house is a dream, as are they to work with!  Back in December we did a 'Christmas Card' session super simple and super cute.  Kids in PJ's and parents in cozy sweats!  It couldn't have gone any better!  I really do recommend these if you are looking for something more personal and flexible with the little ones. 

A Bunch of Goof Balls....

Well the title says it all I think!?!  This family was full of goofiness and silliness the day of their session. They came ready to smile and have fun with cute accessories! Just down the street from my house I once again took this session and gatta say it's quick and easy and has many options for great family or individual shots.  Way to go Cottingham clan for making me look good once again! I can't believe I've captured these amazing smiles since they were in diapers?!  When people say surround yourself with those that build you up ....this family is one that comes to mind! 

A Hunting we will go....

I've captured this family MANY times and each time I'm in awe of how photogenic they all are!  This family came out to my mini-sessions that I held a few weeks ago....you know when the weather was ABOVE freezing!?!  Anyway their oldest boy was so animated and wanted to check the woods for deer....so I appeased him and we all went looking for deer!  Needless to say we didn't find any but we sure did get some GREAT images of them walking through the tall grasses and wishing everyone a Merry Christmas!  This amazing Mom lost her father recently so these images couldn't have come at a better time for her and her family to treasure!  Hugs to you and your family once again Tracy!  Keep those boys growing and smiling!!

Cold Little Keepers....

OMG....these three Little's have the most amazing eyes!  And such different personalities from each other!  I met their mom back in college and I'm SO happy that we are still friends today and get to see each other from time to time!  I've actually never had the chance to capture her 3 little wonders until now and boy was it fun!  It was also cold but we bundled up in blankets and ran back and forth from the van to keep warm....especially for the littlest one.
